Malaysia Health Statistic: Number of Doctors and Ratio

According to statistic from Malaysia Health Ministry, the number of doctors and ratio of population to doctors from year 1999 to 2006 are:

a) Total number of doctors (private + public)

    why malaysian doctor in oversea, refuse to come back in Malaysia and give their serving there?

    because of the working attitude here in malaysia sucks. Senior doctors calling jr docs ‘bodoh, takde otak, bangang, dungu, lembab’ etc is not really appealing. And the MO always pick on the small thing that doesn’t need to involve name-calling. It’s so not professional at all. We should treat everyone with respect regardless of who they are.

    And the 36 hours for on call is too much. why dont we change it to 12 hours on call. that’s been done in UK to avoid negligence and working error. after 12 hours change to another doctor. they are on call more often in a month when they rotate it like that but at least it’s tolerable. So for that 12 hours only one registrar (specialist/SpR) + one MO + HO on call, covering the whole medical wards; focusing on patient on wards + new admission at MAU + crash call/resus call.

    i am a student that will take spm this year.. I want to be a doctor but what i afraid is i heard that doctor in malaysia is too much.. is that true?? it means the competition for works is high.. can you give extra information about this????
