ESS: How satisfied with present state of economy in country?

In European Social Survey, the following question is asked:

On the whole how satisfied are you with the present state of the economy in [country]?

Caterogical answers were given, such as: where 0 means extremely dissatisfied and 10 means extremely satisfied. Mean score value was calculated from the answers and tabulated according to gender and marital status, as seen below, with the comparison of year 2002, 2004 and 2006:

MeThink: on average…
- men are more satisfied with the current state of economy as compared to women.
- for both gender, the satisfaction with the state of economy had been increasing by years.
- for both gender as well, the satisfaction with current state of economy goes with marital status as followed: never married > married > divorced > separated/widowed.

OECD Review: STDs from year 1996 – 2006

A recap on the infection rate of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) like chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphillis among OECD countries in the past decade (1996 – 2006):

Among these 10 countries, in year 2006 (or 2005, the latest):
a) the top three highest chlamydia infection rate (per 100 000 population) is
– Denmark (456.11), Sweden (440.57), US (347.8).
b) the highest gonorrheas infection rate (per 100 000 population) is
– US (120.9), UK (31.37), Switzerland (12.25).
c) the highest syphillis infection rate (per 100 000 population) is
– US (12.5), Ireland (5.69), Austria (5.25).
